Direct Sales Returns Policy

The policy set out below relates specifically to the return of goods purchased through our webstore or via our mail order contact centre. All items can be returned to our retail store. But must be acompanyed with a original delivery note as proof of purchase. 

Our Returns Policy

We want you to be happy every time you shop with us, but if you ever need to return items then we’re here to make things as simple and straightforward as possible.

If a item is Damaged during delivery or is defective you must report it within 24 hours of receipt. 

Damaged during delivery, defective, incorrectly advertised or not what I ordered items .

You can return your purchase to us within 28 days of the date you received the item if it has been damaged during delivery, is defective, has been incorrectly advertised or isn't what you ordered. We will issue a full refund (including postage costs). All item must be returned to us or we will arrange a collection at cost to you.

I want to return an unwanted item.

If you no longer want your purchase and it remains unopened and unused, you can arrange to return it to us within seven days of receipt for a refund. Please be aware that we may not refund your postage costs, as there is no error on our part.

I want to return an unwanted large and/or expensive item.

For large and/or expensive items, we may arrange for a courier to collect your purchase. In this event, we will contact you to arrange a collection time that is convenient for you. If there is no error on our part and you require this service, we will quote the cost for this service at the time of your call.

Distance Selling Regulations

If your order has been placed via the telephone or internet, under the Distance Selling Regulations, you have a statutory right to cancel your order and receive a full refund for any home delivery item.

To ensure you are refunded the total cost for the products including the original postage you must contact us at minimates@btinternet.com or write to, Mini mates The Stables,Cross Street, Farcet,Peterborough, PE7 3DD within 7 working days (not including weekends or public holidays) after the day your order was received. Any additional postage costs from the standard service, such as our premium delivery 'express' will not be refunded. Only the cost for the standard service. You will be responsible for the cost of returning the items to us and must take good care of the goods whilst they are in your possession. 

*This does not apply to part order cancellations.

Please be aware that the following goods are excluded from the right to cancel:

  • Goods made to specification or otherwise personalised.

Our Refunds Policy

When will I get my refund?

When you send your item back to us, within 3-5 days of receipt we will process the returned item and make a payment back to the credit card or debit card you originally paid with.   

Our Exchanges Policy

Can I exchange my returned item for something else?

We are unable to exchange goods from one order to another. In all cases we would handle your returned item as a straight froward return and refund the payment back on the credit card or debit card you originally paid with as per the refunds policy (above).

If you do require another item a new order would need to be raised and charged for separately and the funds will be taken for the new order before you will have received a refund for the returned item(s)

Will I be charged again for postage?

If you raise another order at the time when you are making arrangements to return your other items the new order will be sent with free postage (UK Mainland Only)
